POLITICAL PARTIES, ENDURING NEMESIS

   I believe it was Niccolo Machiavelli, who wrote in his 1513 Tome, The Prince, “What doctors say about consumption applies here: at the beginning the disease is easy to cure but difficult to diagnose, but in the course of time, when it was not diagnosed at first and treated, it becomes easy to diagnose but difficult to cure. Thus it happens in the affairs of state: if the evils that are developing are diagnosed from afar (which only the prudent man can do), they are quickly cured, but when they have not been diagnosed and are allowed to grow so that everyone recognizes them, then there is no longer any remedy for them.” 

  It is my considered opinion that Political Parties, and the intellectuals who shape and control them, is ever much like the disease of consumption that Machiavelli used as a metaphor for the evils that can destroy a State. Just as the disease of consumption (tuberculosis) has a germ that is the basis of the disease (Mycobacterium tuberculosis) and is the evil that can destroy a healthy body, there is also an evil that can also destroy the healthy body of a Constitutional Republic. The evil that can destroy a healthy, liberty-loving Constitutional Republic is a disease called factionalism. The disease of factionalism can destroy a healthy, liberty loving Constitutional Republic just as easily as consumption can destroy a healthy active human body. The disease of factionalism also has a germ that is the basis for the disease, and the deadly germ that causes the disease of factionalism is called a political party. Political parties are created for the expressed purpose of representing factions and then gaining power to prevail over other created factions.

    Political parties are therefore the very antithesis of a freedom-loving people seeking ways to come together for common cause. American political parties began with the establishment of the Federalists (strong federal government) and Anti-federalists (fearful of a strong federal government usurping a state’s sovereignty) and continue until this day. As Machiavelli pointed out, now that the disease of factionalism is finally diagnosed, the likelihood of curing the disease is a most difficult endeavor. Perhaps you are thinking that I’m overstating the importance of political parties being antithesis to our beloved Republic. Fair enough. Then perhaps you will consider the farewell address of President George Washington wherein the first President devoted most of his remarks about the evils of political parties. I have included a portion of his historic remarks on the subject below:
   “They (political parties) serve to organize faction, to give it an artificial and extraordinary force; to put, in the place of the delegated will of the nation the will of a party, often a small but artful and enterprising minority of the community; and, according to the alternate triumphs of different parties, to make the public administration the mirror of the ill-concerted and incongruous projects of faction, rather than the organ of consistent and wholesome plans digested by common counsels and modified by mutual interests. However combinations or associations of the above description may now and then answer popular ends, they are likely, in the course of time and things, to become potent engines, by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government, destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion.”

   Even though it will be nearly impossible for the American people to cure the disease of factionalism caused by political parties, by the grace of liberty, it can be done. We can kill the germ of political parties by not supporting them in any fashion whatsoever. Come on America, don’t you really think it’s time for us citizens to think for ourselves and renew the Republic on an individual basis. I know it will be extremely difficult for a people conditioned by an entitlement culture fashioned by political parties to create lifelong constituencies, but it can be done by becoming independent citizens and voters and giving all political parties the boot.

   Has this ever happened to you? One day you look at something that has always been a part of your world and suddenly you discover, hey, why I am still using this? For example, a short time ago I looked at my landline telephone and then at my cell phone and said; why do I have my old telephone hanging on the wall when I have a personal telephone in my pocket? All I ever get from the old telephone is unsolicited calls from the FOP and roofing contractors, so why am I still paying for this thing? So I discontinued the telephone service that has been a part of my life for over #?X!** years and I have not missed the old ring-a-ding thing at all.

    There are a number of other things like the telephone that could be used to make the point, but I think we all understand that we make similar changes every day as circumstances allow and dictate. The point being that time marches on and technology, modern circumstances, personal preferences, etc., all play a role in changing what we need in the modern world to either get along or make life easier. After I wrote the piece, “The Decline and Fall of the GOP”, I suddenly thought, who needs political parties in this day and age anyway? Think about it. What is the purpose of a political party in a Democratic Republic?  

      Perhaps in the old days a political party could provide a needed service to the electorate by distilling a political philosophy into every day terms that could be more readily understood by the people. The party could then promote a doctrine that reflected the stated political philosophy and take positions that a citizen could either support or oppose. Well that was then and this is now and the fact is that people nowadays have much more educational opportunities than was available in the good old days and we all should be wiser about all things political as a result.

    Also, in the good old days, communications was either by word-of-mouth or newspapers, but today we are completely overwhelmed by information coming in from every direction, constantly. So there is no reason on this beautiful blue planet why anyone should not be informed as to what is going on in the world and this knowledge should provide us with all of the wherewithal required to make informed judgments and vote accordingly. So why do we still need political parties telling us what they want us to hear? As a matter of fact, the two party system now entrenched in our political system is more interested in providing misinformation and spin in order to stay in power rather than actually providing an objective political service to the electorate.

    What the hell, we might as well call a rose a rose; the ruling political parties are corrupt and you cannot believe one word they say. So I say; we don’t need no stinking political parties anymore, let them go the way of the telephone! Let’s all become Independents and trust our own judgments rather than let the self-serving political parties lead us to where they want us to go. Enabling technologies and modern times provides us all with the means to be completely independent, and for goodness sakes, now is the time to do so. This is something we can actually do, and by so doing, it (become Independents) could well be the first meaningful step by the people to take back control of our country. Think about it. I can’t imagine a more freedom-enhancing situation than having a completely Independent electorate guiding the country.

The 9% Congress

   According to the latest Gallop findings, 25% of Americans consider themselves to be Republicians, 31% Democrats, and 42% Independents. Perhaps this trend signals that Political Parties are finally heading to the trash dump of really bad ideas.
   Don’t you just love percentages? Sometimes I view percentages like Will Rogers viewed statistics, you know, “There are lies, damn lies, and statistics (percentages)” and just like statistics, percentages are about as subjective as you can get when defining Human endeavors. For example, how many times have we all scoured over our favorite baseball player’s batting percentages only to speculate with cynical wisdom, about the chances of our employment survival with a 323 average of performance success? And how about the chances of rain percentages that the weather guessers are always laying on us? I mean, is it really possible to get 60% wetter if you are caught in a 90% chance of rain rather than a 30% chance. 

   I have a remarkable and very unscientific theory about things like this based upon a lifetime of observations while usually sipping away on an ice-cold brewski, and it goes like this. Compensation (money, etc.) is usually inversely proportional to the importance of the job or position. Just think about it. The President of the US of A makes considerable less money than a tobacco-chewing and mediocre big leaguer while a really important job, like garbage collector, barely makes enough jack to buy cigarettes while trying to support a family. I think we all can validate my theory many times over.
    In an odd sort of way, this brings me to a recent Rasmussen poll that confirms what most of us already knew and that is about 9% of Americans think the highly compensated members of the United States Congress are doing a good or excellent job. When I saw the percentages listed in this poll, I was immediately drawn to the 9 % number. What attracted my attention was not the confirmation of my own feelings about what the number represents, but rather the glaring 9% number sitting there all by itself.

    Let me explain, or pontificate if you prefer. The Gallop research data reports that the American electorate has come to be divided along political party lines by the following percentages: 31% Democrat, 25% Republican and 42% Independent. Well I’m not a rocket scientist but I can calculate that 25 plus 31 plus 42 equals 98% of the electorate. So what happened to the remaining 2% of the American electorate that the poll failed to address?

   Well Gallop may not know who you are, but you 2% out there know who you are, and so do I. I have always been a little dismayed and a little envious of this 2% because they are the ones who never seem to go along with the rest of us because they don’t give a damn about what’s going on around them or what other people think about them for that matter. But the 2% is probably a polling error because both you and I know that the percentage of people who don't give a damn about anything is more like 10%, not 2%.

   Thinking people really don't know how to address this 10% because we are also told that some 47% of the people are also on the Government dole. How this 47% figures into the 25, 31, 42 numbers is no doubt well beyond human cognitive capabilities.
   What I'm thinking here is that the 10% are the ones who say out loud “I don’t want to work, just want to bang on the drum all day.” This of course brings us back to that glaring 9% number that is close enough to the 10% number to be “within the margin of error”.
   So it occurred to me that the “don’t give a damn” 10% are the very same ones who think that the highly compensated members of Congress are doing a good or excellent job because they too (the highly compensated members of Congress) Don’t want to work, they just want to bang on the political drum all day.

Minerva Research Initiative

I would like to suggest that you Google "Minerva Research Initiative", which has to do with the Federal Government (DOD) conducting research on how to deal militarily with civil unrest, and uprisings. After you have researched what the Minerva Research Initiative is doing and recommending, you may pause and speculate about what has the research Inititive have to do with the citizens of the USA. Perhaps, in order to answer that quesition, one must first determine how would you support the findings of the Minerva Research Initiate with action? Actions supporting of the findings of the Initiative should point the way to answer the question, What has this Initative got to do with American Citizens?
Perhaps you will recall how the National Security Agency (NSA) has many data mining and citizen surveillance programs underway with enormous amounts of "META" data being stored about every aspect of American activity and identification. NSA has never fully explained why they are doing this against American citizens. However, if after researching the Minerva Research Initiative, one could certainly make the case that such "META" date would be required in order to support the findings and recommendations of the Initiative. Now couple that with the unexplained actions of Homland Security in creating an unconstitutional National Armed Police force while purchasing extraordinary amounts of ammunition, along with acquiring implements for war fighting, perhaps you can connect the dots about how you would support the findings of the Initiative with action.
   So, perhaps, the question concerning how does the research Initiative have to do with American Citizens can be answered by what the NSA and Homeland Security has been doing. You make the call.

Poison Pill Obamacare

I believe the decision was made by Obama & Co. that the only way to get to a Government run Universal Healtcare System was to destroy the current healthcare System as a first step. Hence, all of the poison pills in Obamacare (ACA) to do just that. No doubt they will find a way to blame Repubs, but I believe that main target for destruction will be the Insurance Companies. It has already begun. So as you can see, Obamacare was constructed with Political goals, not heathcare goals other than conversion to Single payer. Thats what they told the Country they were doing, and I believe them.

Words

Sticks and stones may break my bones,

But words can really hurt me.

            Words are the weapon of choice in the enduring contest for political power because words are the most efficient means to exercise political power over the willing, as well as the unwilling. Whereas in days gone by, Chairman Mao mused that political power grows from the barrel of a gun, today's Leaders in a modern voting society, muse that political power grows from the spigot of mass media that spews out the words to enable the willing and maneuver the unwilling, just like Mao's AK47s were used to spew out bullets to enforce his political will and maneuver the unwilling. Indeed, when Mao shot to death a political adversary, he charged the surviving family members with the cost of the bullet used to dispatch the political challenger. When today's leaders wish to dispatch a political challenger, they use words to destroy the person's life with the same effectiveness as Mao's bullet and then use the Government bureaucracy to charge the survivors with the cost of the effort. 

            What makes words so effective is the ease by which those in political power can use words to set the political argument and then manipulate the outcome. For example, the Government has deliberately chosen not enforce the immigration laws that have served this country of immigrants well for as long as we have been a country of promise and opportunity for all. By not enforcing the immigration laws, the Government then declares the immigration system "broken" and needs to be fixed. According to the manufactured Government narrative, the immigration system requires overhaul because it is obviously "broken." Mass media picks up the narrative and provides anecdotal evidence to support the narrative. Even astute political commentators, like Charles Krauthammer, unwittingly parrots the Government narrative that the immigration system is broken and professionally points out the pros and cons on how to fix the "broken" immigration system. He, and his talking head brethren, use the Government narrative as fodder for their professional needs rather than pointing out that the immigration system is not "broken" because the Government chooses not to enforce immigration law and broke it on purpose to serve their political needs.

   Many other examples exist, like the best medical system the world has ever seen does not serve all of the citizens and needs the Government to run the system in order to provide better and cheaper healthcare for all. Many more examples are available for examination, but why bother? We won't bother until words become the death of us all, in one fashion or another. 

The Arrogance Of Knowledge

The Dark Side Of Knowledge

I'm going to ask that you seriously consider the above subject. It is a subject that is rarely discussed openly, even though it deserved to be well understood. Basically, the dark side of knowledge means, that as people become more educated, and have an opportunity to utilize the knowledge gained, the more likely it is that the knowledge gained will be utilized to gain power to subjugate others. It is human nature (and all life) to do so. The inherent nature to survive and dominate is encoded into Human, and all life's DNA, and results in people's passion for power in order to dominate and subjugate all others.

            For example, the advance of knowledge, codified by Charles Darwin in his 1859 tome, The Origin Of Species, had a very attentive pupil. The attentive person was one, Adolf Hitler. Evidence abounds that Hitler's blueprint for NAZI domination of the world as the Master race (Mein Kamph) was based upon the knowledge of Survival Of The Fittest, made available by the esteemed work of Charles Darwin. The result being that untold millions of people were murdered, and unfathomable amounts of Human treasure and property was destroyed, and all because a Man used knowledge gained nefariously. Also consider Atom Bombs, Chemical and Biological Agents, and Rockets, as being just a few more examples of the misuse of knowledge.

            Here are two quotes from Mein Kamph that you will recognized as being utilized today by today's Master Politicians and those lusting for power, to wit:

"The great masses of the people will more easily fall victim to a big lie than to a small one."

"The broad masses of a population are more amenable to the appeal of rhetoric than to any other force."

            If you are a student of history, you may not have recognized the infallible fact that all people who have come to dominate other people throughout the history of Mankind were also the most educated of their kind. And they enthusiastically used their superior knowledge to kill and destroy everything in their path in their headlong rush to dominate and subjugate their fellow man.

            So the question today is: Should we elect or support those who are the most educated among us to positions of power, when evidence abounds that to do so is inviting disaster? For a today's example, look at the two above Mein Kamph quotations and decide if the current President has used the above knowledge in a nefarious manner, because after all, our President is one of the most educated of all the people on the Planet.

Disarming Americans

The Doe Run lead smelting plant (last remaining lead smelting plan in the USA) has been forced to closed by the EPA. For those who don't know, lead is used to make bullets, no bullets and your constitutional gun becomes a club. Government

The roll-out of the Obamacare WEB site has demonstrated with crystal-clear clarity what I have posted many times on this Blog, and that is, Government (all Governments) is a political enity, and as such, can only make politicial decisions. That is, the Obamacare WEB site design was not really driven by providing Americans with straight forward choices for their healthcare (like Amazon.com providing straight forward choices to buy everything under the sun), the design was driven by all of the political reqirements of a "thousand page" healthcare law, agumented by "thousands of pages" of rules, regulations,and directives drafted by politically directed bureaucrats. The further reality being that political requirents are without end and without cohesive direction. And further still, political requirements continously bob and weave with the political wind that is currently blowing. So how could such a WEB site be designed with such ubiguitous requirements and not be doomed to failure?
In other words, the Obamacare WEB site was not designed to facilitate healthcare for you with your personal Physician. It was designed to enforce the political requirements to enhance Governmental power by using universal healthcare as a tactical vehicle.
The cruel reality being, the Obamacare WEB site is the demonstrated reality of how the Government will be providing healthcare for you.
In other words, now that you have entrusted your personal health care to the Government, the decisions made by Government concerning your healthcare will be political decisions, not decisions concerning your personal healthcare made by you and your Physician.
Of course the same Governmental modus operandi has already been fully demonstrated by gving the Government responsibility for your retirement under the Social Security Act. Yes, that Social Security Act that was to be a safety net for us all, that has now morphed into an endless social engineering vehicle, e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, aid to dependent children, ad infinitum.

The Economy

If it wasn't for Grandmas and Aunties, the economy would soon collapse.

Gasoline Price Today

Did some research about the price of gasoline.
In 1970 the average price of gas was $0.36/gal.
Using the inflation factor of 6.03 for the dollar from 1970  to 2013,  the price of gasoline today using the 1970 price as a start is $2.17/gal. with dollar inflation of 6.03 factored in.
However taxes have been added to each gallon of gas by the Feds (18.4 cents/gal) and state sales tax that were not in effect in 1970. The average of all taxes today is $0.31/gal in today's dollars.
Therefor the inflated price of the 1970 gasoline in today's dollars is $2.17/gal., plus taxes of $0.31/gal.
So, the the price of 1970 gasoline in today's dollars is $2.48/gal.
You can plainly see, the price of gasoline has increased very little, it is the value of the dollar that has decreased.

Section 3. Representatives elected to the Congress shall be compensated exclusively by the Congressional District from which they were elected for all expenses and wages associated with the execution of their elected office.  Acceptance of any compensation or gift whatsoever by the Representative from any source other than the electing Congressional District shall be cause for immediate removal from office.  Elected Representatives may serve a maximum of three terms.

Professional Politicians

And you thought that the latest manufactured crisis was about fiscal and other matters. Here is how Washington works for the Professional Politicans and not for the citizens they are suppose to serve.

This is how the debt ceiling bill passed muster with Repub Minority leader, Mitch McConnell.

A Kentucky (McConnell is the senior Senator from Kentucky) dam project funding was raised in the debt ceiling bill from $775 million to $3,000 million.

This is the number of "pieces of silver" required for McConnell to support the debt ceiling bill.

The AP and New York Times reports the following about the NSA and your Government gutting your Constitutional right to privacy. The following is the latest revelation, to wit:
"The documents Snowden provided indicated that the NSA can augment the communications data with material from public, commercial and other sources, including bank codes, insurance information, Facebook profiles, passenger manifests, voter registration rolls and GPS location information, as well as property records and unspecified tax data, the paper reported."

The implementation of Obamacare will exacerbate the City/Rural schism which will accelerate the destabilization of the Nation and Society.

A AP report lists a study by UC Berkeley, Paris School of Economics and Oxford University that outlines the accelerating income inequity in the US of A.

The top 1% of the country's households earned 19% of the nation's income.

The top 10% of the country's households earned 48% of the nation's income.

The last time the national income inequity was this large occurred in 1928, just before the stock market collapse and the start of the Great Depression.

Regardless, this income inequity is the stuff of revolution and bodes ill for stability.

The above is from Shakespeare's, The Sonnets, and perfectly describes how Socialism, and all of its variants, ruins a free man's industry, property and spirit. The idea of taking a free society's abundance and turning it into a famine for all in order to enable a goofy idea of "social justice", seems to enjoy immortality among the educated elite.

And the socialist idea of making famine for all is still alive and well nourished today as the Obama "spreading the wealth" agenda grinds on and on to the dismay of free citizens.

I have never understood how the fortunate among us, who have the benefit of freedom, unlimited education and prosperity, always seem to gravitate towards the ideas of Marx, Lenin, and Moa in order to create a utopia for all mankind.

If you have the stomach to read Obama's book, "Dreams From My Father", you will witness his continuous rant against the white race for all of non-whites ills and misfortunes. Based upon his written rant, you can easily see why he wants to "fundamentally change" the American society that has "enslaved" non-white people in order to obtain white prosperity. His "fundamental" change is to use the force of Government to impose "social justice" by confiscating wealth from free Americans and redistributing that wealth to those who have been enslaved by the white race.

What does Obama's agenda have to do with socialism?

I said above that I never understood how educated people could endorse Socialism, but I believe I now understand. Socialism is the method you can use in today's world to obtain the power of a democratically elected Government to exercise the required dictatorial power to impose the utopian idea of one equal human race. You can do this because you can shame gullible and well-meaning people into believing that "social justice" is a democratic idea.

You can also use the dictatorial power of "social justice" to enable the Obama desire to cut the white man down to size or to simply obtain power over the people.

Today's lead story in the Star once again leaves me disappointed in the Star's coverage's. You have chosen to portray illegal inhabitants as warm and wonderful people just like all of us so that we all will excuse their deliberate violation of our laws. You do not show the negative side of illegal immigration, just warm and fuzzy people living life.
Disdainful.
Only a duplicitous Government would not enforce immigration laws that has worked well for as long as we have been an immigrant country, and then declare that our immigration system is "broken"
as a result. Worst still, politicians and newspapers, like Indy Star, then parrot the created notion that the immigration system is broken. We all know, including the Star, that this insidious effort in supporting illegal immigration is to create an unstoppable electorate for one particular political power.
Small wonder peoples are so upset with the lot of you.

A. Your Government is now looking at, and recording, every one of your private communications, including landline phone, cell phone, e-mail, and yes, this Blog. In other words, your Government knows who you are talking to, what you are talking about, and everything about your personal life.
B. Under the new Dodd-Frank law, your Government knows about your entire financial dealings and worth. The Feds also knows with whom you have financial dealings with, and why.
C. Under the ACA (Obamacare) health act, your Government will know every thing about your health, will dictate how and with whom you get healthcare, and how much healthcare you get. And your Government will dictate how and how much you will pay for healthcare.
D. Your Government has now politicized the Federal Justice Dept. and can can prosecute any and all American citizens under all encompassing Federal law, and can do so with impunity, and for purely politicial reasons.
E. Your Government has politicized the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and can destroy any citizen it chooses by using the offices of the IRS to do so, and for any purpose, politicial or otherwise.
F. Your Government has now constituted, under the Homeland Secutiy Act, a standing armed  Federal Police force that can police any and all American Citizens. This federal police force can, and will, enforce federal politicial will by armed agents.
G. Your Government has now politicized the Environmental Protection Agency and can control all basic means of production. The EPA now controls all land, be it private or public, by selective enforement of environmental rules it establishes.

If you are still foolish and naive enought to believe you are a free American citizen today, and that the Constitution protects you, you deserve everything that is coming your way.

Sgt. Schultz

Who could ever have imagined that a silly TV program, that portrayed the Nazis as "Oh So Funny" foils for an clever American prisoner of war, would someday be prescient for a sitting American President. Of course, the name of that silly TV program was called "Hogan's Heros", and it was prescient because an actor, John Banner, played a lovable Nazi named Sgt. Schultz. Sgt Schultz had a tag line in that silly show that is now used almost daily by the sitting President of the United States, Barack Obama, and this is why the show was prescient to events happening today.
Who knew?
Sgt Schultz's tag line was, "I Know Nothing", and Sgt Schultz always used that explanation whenever he had to disavow knowlege of anything that might force him to accept any responsibility for the slings and arrows of misfortune that happened on his watch.
Who could have ever imagined that Barack Obama would employ that same line, over and over, as the slings and arrows of misfortune keeps happening on his watch.

I bet you have witnessed the modern day phenomenon of hip teenyboppers sitting within whispering distance of each other while enthusiastically banging away on their personal communication devices to post and reply to endless encoded typed messages to each other. You would think that people would rather face-up to each other in order to make a very personal connection, and then to complete the social link, select the appropriate words from a vast reservoir of words and meanings to make a uniquely personal presentation by conveying abstract ideas and emotional feelings in a more directed, and personal way. To wit: The spoken word comes with the added advantage of judging the emotional state and possible underlying reasons for the verbal communication. 

But wait, I bet you have also witnessed hip adults doing the same texting thing.

What's going on here?

We could research plenty of psychobabble to address the latest human idiosyncrasy, but perhaps, just an old geezer's observation would better serve a measure of understanding.

So here goes. It seems to me, speaking "face-to-face" with another person carries with it the acceptance of "personal responsibility" for the whole tenor of the personal interaction because you are, indeed, interrelating "face-to-face." By substituting texting in lieu of personalizing speech, personal responsibility for the communication is muted because of the lack of the more human communication factors, such as, using and interpreting body language, eye contact, emotional state of each party, to name just a few. While using indirect speech (phone) lacks the more personal human communications factors listed above, it nevertheless carries with it more emotion and meaning than the written word.

So, it seems to me, we have a modern day dichotomy here. Modern people now have the technical means to be in constant contact with one another in order to fulfill some sort of human need to be in a continuous social interacting state. However, by substituting texting for speech, they avoid the more important aspects of human communications by becoming less responsible for it.

Very strange.

It is instructive to study the aftermath of the abduction and captivity of three women in Cleveland Ohio. The Police is in full investigative mode as they try to piece together how this crime was comitted.

The HOPI BEAR CLAN PROPHESY

Bob Frissel, in his book, "Something In This Book is True…" (Frog Ltd.; Berkeley, California; 1997) relates a story told by Reverend David Young about an encounter in the 1950's.

While driving through a desert in the Southwest, Rev. Young picked up a remarkable Hopi Elder and soon the two began a long conversation about spiritual matters.

"'I am White Feather, a Hopi of the ancient Bear Clan. In my long life I have traveled through this land, seeking out my brothers, and learning from them many things filled with wisdom. I have followed the sacred paths of my people, who inhabit the forests and many lakes in the east, the land of ice and long nights in the north, and the places of holy altars of stone built many years ago by my brothers' fathers in the south. From all these I have heard the stories of the past, and the prophecies of the future. Today, many of the prophecies have turned to stories, and few are left -- the past grows longer, and the future grows shorter.
"'And now White Feather is dying. His sons have all joined his ancestors, and soon he too shall be with them. But there is no one left, no one to recite and pass on the ancient wisdom. My people have tired of the old ways -- the great ceremonies that tell of our origins, of our emergence into the Fourth World, are almost all abandoned, forgotten, yet even this has been foretold.

The time grows short.

"'My people await Pahana, the lost White Brother [from the stars and particually the star Sirius], as do all our brothers in the land. He will not be like the white men we know now, who are cruel and greedy. We were told of their coming long ago. But still we await Pahana.

"'And this is the Ninth and Last Sign: You will hear of a dwelling-place in the heavens, above the earth, that shall fall with a great crash. It will appear as a blue star. According to Australian eyewitnesses, it appeared to be burning blue.]

On this very day in 1775, 238 years ago, in the same Massachusetts as today's manhunt for the Boston Marathon bombers being covered by 24-hour television, 700 British soldiers marched into Lexington and Concord to "confiscate" the assault weapons of the local militia.

It did not end well for the British 238 years ago, and started the revolutionary war that gained independence from the Crown, and enabled the eventual birth of the United States of America.
If you never really understood the meaning of, and necessity for, the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution, the above action 238 years ago should provide a measure of understanding. The 2nd Amendment is not really about firearms, it's about having the means to arm a Militia in order to make the Militia a viable means to protect free citizens, be it protection from Bad Guys or from a tyrannical Government, to wit: A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed.There are well meaning people today who believe that the concept of an armed citizen militia, in today's modern world, is a charming but archaic notion. And besides, each state's National Guard is in reality a citizen militia so an armed general population is both unnecessary and dangerous. Not so fellow citizens. The National Guard has been made an integrated part of the federal standing army, and in no way represents a local armed citizen militia. A federal standing army was feared by the Founders because such standing armies were always the means for a tyrannical government to usurp the freedom of the people and an armed citizen militia was the means to preclude the necessity for a standing federal army, hence, the 2nd Amendment. If today you become a member of a public  armed militia, you will be arrested and taken into custody.
Today's relentless and unending push today to remove weapons from the free citizens of the general population of the United States of America, is not really about the safety of children or anyone else. The banning (confiscation) of assault, or  any other type of weapon, is about removing the means for viable resistance to an tyrannical Government and the forced reliance upon Government for your personal protection.

Rules For Radicals

Saul D. Alinsky is a name you should become familiar with. Alinsky was a radical who helped develop the concept of Community Organizing as a way to develop and maintain political power for radical purposes. Regardless of your political persuasion, it is instructive to note that President Barack Obama also employed Community Organizing to enable his rise as a politician and gain power. By many accounts, Obama was, and is, a follower of Alinsky, but you should draw your own conclusions, especially after studying the following 13 rules for radicals. These rules are from Alinsky's 1971 published book, "Rules for Radicals."

 

Here are the 13 Rules Alinsky instructs would be radicals to follow to be successful as a radical. These rules will allow the radical to gain mastery over opponents regardless of what the political goal is. I draw your attention to rule number 5 and how it is being used today to prevent a civil discussion of political issues not in the radical's interest. 

 

The rules

 

 1. Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have.

 2.  Never go outside the expertise of your people.

 3. Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy.

 4. Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.

 5. Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.

 6. A good tactic is one your people enjoy.

 7. A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag.

 8. Keep the pressure on. Never let up.

 9. The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.

 10. The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition.

 11. If you push a negative hard enough, it will push through and become a positive.

 12.The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative.

 13. Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.

15 April

15 April is the birthday of the Grandfather (Kim Il Sung, deceased) of the Current Dear Leader  (Kim Jong-un) of North Korea. Grandfather is the one who invaded South Korea and started the Korean War in the 50s. Grandfather is a Hero and role model for the current North Korean Dear Leader.  

The current Dear Leader of North Korea is threatening a nuclear attack on the US and it's allies, and 15 April would be a fitting  time to launch such an attack in order to honor Dear Leader Grandfather. Bearing in mind that initiating an attack would be an honorable way to finish the war that Grandfather started, and technically is still ongoing, and would appeal to the dark age people of North Korea.  

Korea still has an enduring hate for Japan due to the WWII invasion and atrocities perpetrated upon the Korean people. With their limited nuclear capability, a very tempting target for the 15th would be Japan and the US military bases still there. The explosion of a small enhanced device high above Japan would initiate an EMP that would blanket most of modern day Japan with a destructive surge. That EMP surge would destroy most things electrical and electronic in Japan and propel Japan back into a pre-industrial age.

Such an occurrence would probably wreck the world's economy is short order.

Let's hope this is just another doomsday speculation.......

Who Speaks For The American Worker?

Who Speaks For Working Men and Women?

 

            .So-called Illegal Immigration is having a direct impact on American skilled and unskilled labor that is rarely discussed. All we ever hear about is the wonderful people who have violated our laws by simply coming to American with the intention of taking American jobs and cranking out "anchor babies" in order to further circumvent Immigration law and stay here.

            With full intent, these criminals hurry to have babies so that they may pervert our Constitution by claiming that they cannot be removed because their children are American citizens due to the fact their children were born on American soil. And what civilized person wants to separate a Mother from her baby? This practice is beyond disgraceful, and yet, foolish people condone such horrible activity.

            We all have heard over and over the complete nonsense that the criminals who cross our borders in violation of our laws are only here because they will do the jobs that Americans won't do.

            Here is the truth that remains unspoken during the so-called "Illegal Immigration" debate. I will use roofing as an example, but there are many other work areas that have typically used American skilled and unskilled labor that have supported American families in the past. Many of these other work area could be used as examples as well.

            Here is how it really works. Roofing contractors using American citizen labor have been roofing American homes for ages by paying American workers a wage that can support an American living in America. Undocumented workers approach the roofing contractor and offer to work on the roofs for a fraction of the wage paid to the American worker. Most legitimate contractors say no, but as usual, there are some contractors who jumped at the opportunity to make a huge profit by undercutting other contractors paying American wagers to American workers. Needless to say, soon the contactors employing undocumented workers were getting all of the roofing business, so reluctantly, the honest contractors had to hire illegal undocumented workers as well in order to remain in business.

            What this really means is that American skilled and unskilled roofers, that once upon a time, were able to make a living doing roofing no longer have a job. That is, they don't have a job unless they are wiling to work for undocumented wages that will not support an American family.

            Who speaks for the skilled and unskilled American works displaced by illegal workers? Who indeed. 

           

 

 

 

 

Words

Sticks and stones can break my bones,
But words can really hurt me.

Words are so being used today to mislead, misinform, and in general, words are being used in a deliberate manner to shape opinion. Here are a few:

Illegal Immigration. Immigration is the process where a potential immigrant complies with the law and becomes a citizen. You cannot be an immigrant if you simply entered the country with the intent of staying and becomming a resident, you are instead, a criminal, not an Immigrant, illegal or otherwise.

Liberals are called liberals because they are liberal with other people's freedoms, money and property. Liberals are not liberal with their own freedoms, money and property.

Conservatives are called conservatives because they try to keep what they have earned.

Conserative are not knuckle-dragging mean people who are not concerned with other peoples welfare.

 

Education reform. Usually menaing more money is shoveled into the educational system (teachers, administrators, buildings, ect.) when history has shown that more money does not equal more education, usually the reverse. Reform can only come when there is a culture for learning in the children to be educated.

 

The USA is a Democracy. The USA is a democratic Republic, and was never intented to embrace "one man, one vote" of a pure democracy.
